I thought I was getting a romance novel when in truth I got a sex manual. Seriously, if you are looking for a book with a plot this isn't the one for you. Maggie had never had an orgasm so when a friend tells her about the "service" she got at the tattoo parlor down the street, Maggie decides that's the answer to her problem. She schedules an appointment with Eduardo but when she throws herself at him she discovers its actually his twin, Rafel. While he turns her away, he can't help but be intrigued so he makes her his project of sorts. He teases and torments her, driving her crazy and leaving her hanging on the verge for days while he goes home and jerks off in the shower. (Not making this up) When he decides to forego seeing her for a few days, sure this is the only way to make her come, she takes matters into her own hands and hunts him down. After calling him names and telling him off, he once again overwhelms her with his sexual prowess and she FINALLY achieves her goal, an orgasm with a capital O! By now, she is crazy for him but when she asks where the relationship is going, he balks. Of course, predictably, he's miserable without her so he looks her up and she once again falls into his arms. By this time I'm wondering how much more of this I have to take. I actually did last to the end, wading through Rafel' s one true love coming back on the scene declaring she wants him again which almost sends Maggie packing. But all's well that ends well and Rafel realizes he loves Maggie and wants to be with her. I gave this two stars because I kind of liked the characters even if I found the book's premise bordering on ridiculous and the writing wasn't bad all things considered. It was my first time reading the author and unfortunately probably my last.Product details

THE STORY Maggie Hendricks has a problem. She has never had a genuine orgasm. When she hears from a friend about a incredible sexual encounter she had with a stranger, Maggie decides to find that man and solve her problem. When Maggie meets Rafel Oliveira, she finds out that he is more than she expected to find. He may be the solution to all her problems if she can keep from falling in love with him.
OPINION This book has a fantastic premise. Maggie is determined to take control of her life and find the sexual satisfaction that she is missing. Her determination and drive are part of her problem. I thought that Rafel was wonderful in his decision to help Maggie with her problem. He is thoughtful and caring. I also thought the book was daring in practically examining Maggie's sexual problems. Unfortunately, once Maggie and Rafel end up resolving her problem, the book bogged down in relationship fears that felt more contrived. The book was still enjoyable, but the middle lacked the vitality of the first portion of the book.
WORTH MENTIONING The sequel to this book is about Rafel's brother who seems to have an interesting story himself.
FINAL DECISION This book has a great premise and starts out as a five star book. Once Maggie and Rafel get together, however, the book bogs down but overall is a satisfying read.
CONNECTED BOOKS SATISFACTION is the first book in the Brothers Ink series.
STAR RATING I give this book 4 stars.
I had mixed feelings with this book I would definitely categorize this one as erotica over anything else. The romance was lacking and it had an insta-love feel to it. I would rate this 2.5 stars but I'm going to round this up since it was offered as a freebie. Here's my breakdown
The pros
* It was offered as a freebie - that is always appreciated
* The passion was a solid 8 out of 10 stars - it had some insanely hot scenes
* The hero was the master of some dirty talk!
The cons
* The abundance of sex almost ruined this one for me, and I'm a smut lover. It just seemed to take away from any sense of character development. The hero and heroines relationship was lacking in all aspects that weren’t sexual. They just felt incredibly one dimensional.
* Speaking of the lack of character depth, the little we did get personality wise, I didn’t care for the heroine. She seemed very immature.
* The writing style had a "choppy" feel to it.
* The plot really had very little going on - it was a 300 page book where very little aside from sex occurred - it never really had me invested in the story or the characters
Overall, it was a steamy read but little else. Not a series I will personally continue.
This book is so good, I bought the next one, "Anticipation," which is also amazing. Yes, there is sex, but there is love and romance and real characters that aren't just the standard stock characters. They have real depth and substance--and are not typical romance character cliches.
I hate that there are 2 and 1 star reviews ranking as most helpful. Actually, I hate that people are such haters. This book is not boring, and it doesn't crawl like some of them say. It is also FREE, so what are you so angry about? Yes, there is sexual content, but if you wanted a romance novel where they only kiss chastely, why the hell did you download a book with a cover with a (hot) shirtless man? Duh.
I have also read several of her other books, which reminds me, I need to go and sign up for her mailing list on her website, and they were also awesome. Particularly, I reccomend "The Other Side of Us," which is EVERYTHING a romance novel should be.
